They compounds are found in the seeds, bark, stem, roots, flowers and other parts of plants. Essential oils protect plants against environmental threats and play a role in pollination. Which Essential Oils Will Remove Skin Tags?
The following essential oils are recommended for removing skin tags.
1. Melaleuca (Tea Tree oil)
Melaleuca is a strong disinfectant and antiseptic, that fights off bacteria, germs and microbes which may be the cause of your skin tag. It is also a potent astringent, which enables it to dry out the skin tag, causing it to fall off quicker.
2. Oregano Essential Oil
Oregano is one of the best anti-fungal essential oils and has been successfully used to get rid of skin tags very quickly. Please note that oregano essential oil is very potent so use it with caution. If your skin reacts negatively mix the oil with fractionated coconut oil which serves as a carrier oil. It doesn’t marginalize the affect of the oil but minimizes the reaction to sensitive skin.
3. Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense is the “go to” oil for almost anything that ails you. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-septic properties. It is one of the top essential oils for skin tags. Using frankincense essential oil helps dry out the skin tag, making it fall off faster. Since frankincense is among the few essential oils that can be applied ‘neat’ on to the skin, you can apply it undiluted.
4. Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender essential oil has skin soothing and emotional calming properties, but it’s also one of the most effective essential oils for skin tags.
5. Lemon Essential Oil
Lemon essential oil dries out your skin tag since it is a potent astringent, that helps remove excess oils and water from the skin. This enables the skin tag to fall off. Since lemon essential oil is photosensitive, don’t apply it and expose your skin to sunlight.
6. Rosemary Essential Oil
Rosemary essential oil is extracted from rosemary leaves and is great to combat skin tags.
7. Basil Essential Oil
Basil essential oil has powerful medicinal properties and a strong herbal scent. This essential oil contains antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, making it one of the best essential oils for skin tags, acne, warts and moles.
Recommendation – Start out with Melaleuca or Oregano and apply twice a day. Simply place a drop on clean fingers and apply to the skin tag. Allow about 6 weeks and the skin tag should be gone. You may even use Melaleuca and Oregano together in equal parts to give you the greatest power in dealing with your skin tags. The other essential oils work as well. The key is to discover what works best for your condition.
